Hello everyone. I have come here now to share that I have just published two new books, and they’re in a different style from any of the other things that I’ve ever published. They’re both memoirs. They both take place over 20 years ago. Actually, one is 25 years ago and one is 24 years ago when I was 21 and 22 years old.
The first is set in Australia, and it’s called “Up the West Coast of Australia.” It’s a story of a hitchhiking experience that I had right up the west coast of Australia in the year of 1993.
The other book is set in China, or at least largely in China. It starts in Europe and it talks about my journey across Europe and Asia to get to China, and then my travels around China.
Both of these books are set at a time that was transformative for me, a time in which I was just leaving childhood and just leaving my family system and becoming an adult. They’re also set right when my parents were in the middle of splitting up and divorcing, which was a profound time that really blew my mind and opened my mind to all sorts of things and all sorts of insights about myself, my history, and my family.
What I enjoy about both of these books is they take place during traveling, so I’m not interacting with people that I know at all. I’m interacting with completely new people, strangers. In a way, that’s a reflection of how I felt about myself. In many ways, I was a stranger to myself in the midst of these travels.
It’s taken me a long time to write these books. I’ve been working on them for over 20 years each. The reason it’s taken me a long time is that I needed to grow. I needed to get perspective on what I was writing and what I was sharing and what I was talking about, on how I wanted to share these interesting and often painful experiences that I was going through. And I finally felt ready.
So if you are interested in buying, I will have all the information right below in the text box below this YouTube video. So if you do wish to read these, I welcome you and I hope you enjoy them.
